Prep Roof Before Rack Install?

Getting ready to put Gobi rack on. Before I mount it, should I use special protectant or maybe a clear wrap on the roof? No easy way to clean it once mounted. What, if anything, are other people doing?

I've seen people on here that said they use a swifter to clean under it. No way around it, that would be a pain to clean under. Personally I would use a sealer of some type to get some protection on there before putting the rack on.

I put a couple coats of wax on it before I installed my Drabbits Rack. I also take my rack off every 6 months or so to wash it and reapply wax. A clear plastic car wrap would be a good idea.

I use a swiffer with a microfiber cloth wrapped around it for cleaning. We did fill the mounting holes with RTV before mounting the legs.

definitely need to use a lubricant, but it is better to turn to authorized service center for high-quality diagnostic

I would also recommend using a gasket sealer for your bolts. Forgot the name of it but it will ease your mind off potential water leakage

I waxed mine before I put the rack on. When I wash the truck I just get my wife to wash the roof, she can get most of it with her skinny arms.
