The discounts are very good, but once you apply the discount codes the shipping charges go through the roof, offsetting the savings. I've had my eye on your air compressor and recovery kits for a long time.

Edit... just to clarify... I went to guest checkout, entered bogus info in the name/add/email categories... plugged in the discount code and NY zip code (long distance shipping)... The shipping cost listed in the "Cart" was a couple bucks, but jumped way up once you applied the discount code, entered customer info, and went to checkout. That may have also been a factor of entering an actual zip and the site providing an accurate shipping quote (and the initial low shipping figure representing a placeholder).

Edit - I ran a pricing based on a basic air compressor to a residential address:
Alb, NM as per your sig is about $11 ($10 for commercial address)
For NY (zip 10001) it is about $15 ($13 for commercial address)

I edited my initial post just to add some clarity to what I was trying to get across.

Regarding the shipping costs, I understand that you guys don't have much control over them. I tried to go back to the site to dig up an example for you, but I can't get there on my work PC. But what I think had me confused was that when you add the items and initially go to your cart there are shipping figures listed there that are very low, just a couple bucks if I remember right. Again, I think those are just placeholders which are updated once the customer enters their info.

Perhaps consider this to be feedback on the website, but when I went to the cart and saw those placeholders and then saw the actual shipping charge at checkout, it seemed like a big jump, when really it was just the actual cost. Perhaps get rid of those placeholders and put a "calculate shipping" link or something.

Regardless, you guys have some great stuff and I'll probably be buying some down the road. Thanks for responding so quickly to my post.

Thx for the feedback. We are working on that issue with the software, as initially it shows a placeholder for shipping till it gets a proper shipping address.

The most reliable way to get a proper shipping quote is to go to the checkout page after the final shipping address and order is entered. For the most part the shipping costs are very reasonable if you keep in mind that many of these items are very beefy and by the very nature also have quite a bit of shipping weight.
