Price for a shop to compress my springs??

Anyone have any clue what a shop would charge to compress my front coils for me and then lower my spring seats down to 0" then reassemble them??

With them already off the vehicle? I'd imagine a half hour labor maybe? Why not rent a spring compressor and DIY?

I would highly recommend having a shop do it. I took mine to my buddies shop, they had them done in minutes with a really nice heavy duty compressor. I would have rented a tool normally but as I was looking at my springs, I didn't want toes with those spring rates and have something fail with those cheesy rental springs compressors.

$20 is a great deal, I paid $40 and I felt it was extremely fair.

Last time I replace my struts, the tire shop charge $10 each. This is with the struts off the car. If it's on the car, they charge $30 each to take off and reassemble it back on the car.

if you have an impact wrench rent a spring compressor. if not, pay a shop. it's a bear and a half with a socket wrench
