Problem installing HID kit on 2014

I got the Extreme kit from XenonDepot and am very happy with the quality of the materials they use. However, when I went to attach the hot wires to the battery the "o" rings on the end of the hot wires won't go over the battery + bolt on top as the bolt it too big for the hole. I have e-mailed the company but knowing that many of you have done mods I thought maybe someone ran into this before. Suggestions?

Just cut off the ring terminal and crimp or solder a bigger one on. Or, there may be a smaller stud to attach to inside the fuse box.

I would suggest you take it to a shop to do the crimp atleast. A poor crimp = high chance of failure down the road.

Proper crimping means using the correct tool.

Just get the proper size ring terminal for the wire and the stud or bolt you are mounting it to and use a crimp tool to assure a good connection.
A little shrink tubing wouldn't hurt either!

Dont your battery wires have a small nut and bolt on them just for smaller terminals? I know mine did. Made installs super easy.

Ha-ha-ha, we all had to start some place:lol: This isn't rocket science here, you can do it! No need to solder provided you use a quality crimp tool, and quality terminals. For exterior connections, they make crimp terminals that have heat shrink already attached. Simple, strip wire, crimp connector to wire, pull on connector to insure tight connection, heat heat shrink with heat gun or lighter until it shrinks down and adheres to wire, you now have a waterproof connection :reddance:

Most Auto parts stores should stock..............

Thanks guys for all the help. I feel like an idiot but wanted to get the proper answer without potentially doing anything to the warranty on the system. Seems simple enough. Back to finishing my install today :whoo:

I'll check. I don't remember seeing any but again I wasn't really looking for them either. Figured I just had to install directly to the main terminal. Will give this look at as well. Thanks.

nOOb :50cal: j/k we all do have to start somewhere. But 90% of all HID kits are NOT P&P all generic crap.

I have the same kit. On the left of the positive terminal of the battery there is a smaller size nut you can take off to attach the positive wires of the HID kit to. Super easy.
