I just purchased a 2004 4Runner Sport Edition 4wd V6 with 44,000 miles. I have wanted one for a long time and am very happy with my purchase. I have noticed one thing that is annoying with the driver's door. If the doors are locked and I pull on the door handle to open it from the inside, the door does not unlock and open all the the same motion. When I pull on the door handle the first time the door will unlock and partially open but not completely release from the striker. I have to pull a second time to completely release from the striker and open the door. I have also noticed that the interior handle on the driver's door is more difficult to open then the passenger's interior door handle. Has anyone else experieced this? Does anyone know the cause or how to fix it?
