Problem: Repair shop can't find another mudguard for my truck

I was in a 4 car accident the day after Thanksgiving in my 98 SR5. I finally put my truck in the shop to get fixed this month and got it back a few days ago.

The right mudguard was messed up in the accident somehow and the repair shop can't find another matching mudguard. They even asked me if my mudguards are aftermarket, which I don't believe they are, but it's possible cause I bought the truck used. They can't find one, but they said they'll keep looking. Right now, I'm riding around with one mudguard, which I'm not exactly thrilled about.

Just looking for some advice or insight where I can direct them where to either find this mudguard or what. I've checked ebay and nothing.

Exactly which mudguard are you missing? The one behind the front wheel, in front of the rear wheel, or behind the rear wheel?

I bought a complete set a couple of years ago for my dad, who was missing just one piece - so I think he has almost a complete set sitting in his garage. (I think the piece he needed was the one behind the right rear wheel) If I have the piece you need, I'll give it to you for the cost of shipping.

It's the right rear mudguard behind the right tire, in front of the exhaust pipe.

Just because it's listed of course doesn't mean that they have it.

Well, I can try to refer them to that site. They said they ordered two from the dearler they usually order Toyota parts from and they both were the wrong mud guard and they didn't have the one that fits with my truck.

But, the diagram on that site does look like the correct mudguard. But of course, it's only a diagram..

I checked the mudflaps I bought for my dad. Unfortunately, they are not like the one you need. They don't have the integrated fender flare part. Sorry.

Looks like you might focus on replacing the missing piece as part of your sport fender flares, rather than thinking of it as a mudflap.
