Hi all,
I recently had my 4runner 2002 parked for 38 days uncovered in a very humid part of argentina. Prior to this the car had absolutely no problems, but upon return there are some issues. Please note that the battery was disconnected for this period. The major problem I have had is revs in idling. The first start I did the engine revs were very low about 500 rpm, the following day they were then very high, about 1 600 rpm. After doing a few starts and driving around a bit it seemed to no realise or reset itself. Then last night when I tried to start the engine started but the revs dropped dramatically and quickly until the motor turned off. The only way to start the car was to pump tbe accelerator a bit. This morning the car started fine, so the problem is extremely erratic. Any ideas ? Note the air conditioning is also not heating air all of a sudden as well and the keyless entry is being erratic too, so not sure if these problems are part of some general Electric issue or not? any help appreciated.
