Problem streaming bluetooth audio iOS

I have a 2016 SR5 Premium that I got last week. I've been having a problem with streaming Bluetooth audio from my iPhone 6. When listening to podcasts it will be fine, then I cut the truck off, come back after work or whatever and it won't play. It plays a garbled 2-3 second clip and keeps playing it. I have to restart my iphone to get it to work properly.

I also have a 2016 Camry XSE V6 with the same Entune audio and I've never had that problem. Drove it for over a year before wife took it over and never had this problem.

Is it an iOS problem or an Entune problem? I don't know how to figure it out. Tonight when I got to work I paused the podcast before turning the truck off, I'll see if that is the problem. Never had that problem in the Camry.

Personally, I make a habit of turning Bluetooth off always if I leave my vehicle and turn back on when needed...don't know if that is your discipline but has worked for me, however yes,, I have the 4r entune and it's finicky at times

I generally leave bluetooth on. With my Camry I would just turn off the car and it would pause the podcast and restart when I came back to it. Worst case I would have to open app in phone and restart the podcast. But never had this glitchy playback before.

Ever since the new iOS update it's been a pain in my butt. Most of my issues are with Pandora.

I'll try that next time. I've tried going into Entune and disconnecting the phone as audio player and reconnecting it with no luck.

It's an Entune issue. I'm using an Android and I have to do the same thing.

Ah. Funny how my Camry never had that problem but my 4Runner does. Hopefully an update will fix
