Hi fellas, I have a 96 limited, I am having a problem with my ldle when the truck is cold, i have to keep my foot on the gas of the engine will die, this happens until the car has warmed up. Then it idles fine.

I Have a CEL, code p0125,

So far i have,
1. Changed the thermostat,
2. Changed the coolant temp sensor,
3. Cleaned and tested the air idle control valve,
4. Tested the 1st oxygen sensor with an ohm meter, = 15 ohms.

What next? Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you.

I cleaned the TB at the same time as the Air Idle Control. The oxygen sensor ohm'd out within spec so i'm not sure if its that. I will change it anyway, but i would like to know if i have checked everything i need to before i go and buy one.

Anyone have any other ideas what it could be?

Cheers.

Just because you get good Ohm readings doesn't mean the sensor is good, it just means it's not bad. It can still be degraded but have the heater working fine. If it's at the age for a change (70K+miles), just change it.
