problem with intake?

I just recently installed a K&N intake the fuel injection performance kit, 2nd generation for my 99 3.4 v6. It was a basic install, went really smoothly. Tighten the clamps, put back any hoses, put back the mass airflow sensor, connected the ground cable to the battery, checked for any leaks, none. Drove it around, sounds cool. Everything seems to be working, but after the 2nd time driving it, the check engine light went on. I checked everything, it seems to be working really well. I thought it would be the MAF sensor, as if there was a leak, i checked all the vacuum tubes, no leaks still. It's just annoying how the check engine light is on. I tried doing the search engine on this site, but i didn't find any other related post. Thanks.

I found out why my check engine light was on....my friend used his OBDII diagnosis tool and found the code p0171, which means the system is running lean. So he cleaned my MAF sensor and cleared it.

Glad it was quick & easy... You have to clean & oil the K&Ns. Not enough oil dirt gets in, too much and the MAF needs cleaning too often.
