so i just recently came back from vacation and drove my 4runner today and noticed that when i brake and in almost a complete stop at a stoplight, the car shakes like crazy.. if i add more pressure to the brakes its still shaky but not as much. almost feels like a motorcycle kinda shakiness when stopping at a stoplight.. it just started to feel like this yesturday and got worse today and today the check engine light lit up on the dash. anybody know the problem im facing or have dealt this anything similar to this?

It is a warped rotor. It is pretty easy to swap out. I personally recommend Autozone Duralast rotors, since they have a 2 year warranty on them. Pair them up with some good ceramic pads (Hawk LTS, or I used Autozone ceramics. Both ~$40).
The Check Engine Light should be a separate thing. When you're at Autozone, have one of them scan it for you. It's free.
