Problems With the 5th Gen?

The only "issue" I have is the exhaust coming in through the back window when driving with it down. I'm going to get a muffler shop to re-route it out the side behind the passenger's side tire to see if that fixes it.

LOVE my 4Runner

I smell that sometimes too, but until recently I had an old CJ5 that would pretty much fumigate you out of the vehicle if the rear window was open. The 4Runner is just slightly noticeable in comparison.

The only issue I've had with my 4Runner is that it seems to be extremely picky and responsive to tires. Other vehicles I've owned over the years just don't seem to translate balance, noise, vibration, or tracking issues like the 4Runner.

Liar.

The cruise control is useless because you live in Washington. Move somewhere flat and you'll see it works just fine.

Edit: Just to clarify, I was just joshin' ya ;)

Haha, this is very true. Even the thought of an incline and you might as well just shut it off. Granted my 34's don't help this issue :)

My only problem is it continuously makes me want to spend money. Bumpers, Lights, Sliders, Skids, Racks, Suspension.....

:guitar3:

I know the feeling, I just bought a 2017 Trd Pro and I have the "BUG". My spreadsheet is up to $18k already

Look out for my build thread soon.

It's still in the works...

Lies .......... Site your source friend. I am excited to hear anything on the supercharger info. I was REALLY hoping that the Diesels were gonna come out in 2017, but I hear now its only overseas and it will be 2018.

The only 4Runner Supercharger available right now, is the one with the "TRD Turbo" added to it. This will add a minimum of 85hp to your engine.

Twin Vortices SeriesT (TVST) with 4 lobe rotors
60% more air into the system
High-flow supercharger inlet and outlet turbo ports
The letters TRD Enhances thermal efficiency
More turbo power without compromising fuel economy

Very expensive.

Had to have the control arm assemblies replaced at 15k under warranty. Apparently an issue for some late model Trails.

Purchased an 8 year extended VSA for a great price (thanks to t4r) since I have KDSS and want peace of mind.

Otherwise LOVE my 4Runner.

2016 PRO:
So far only issue for me is the dome light does not work on passenger rear door when open. Dealer narrowed it down to main body ecu after having it in the shop for 4 days. ECU is currently on back order . Still waiting for it to come in. It's been almost 1 month now. Currently some features (Multi-Terrain functions) are also not available right now due to the ecu issue.
