Programming lock / remote behavior

I was wondering if the behavior of the locks can be changed. On my 3rd Gen hitting unlock on the remote once unlocks the driver door. Hitting unlock twice unlocks all doors. I'd prefer to just hit the unlock button on the remote once and have it unlock all doors.

The user manuals says the volume of the beeps can be changed at the dealer, so I presume some behaviors are changeable. Anyone know if the behavior of the lock / remote is programmable on the 3rd gen?

Do you just have the fob with the Lock/unlock and panic on the back? Or the 2-button VIP RS3000 system?
I have the RS3000 system on my 97 and one push of the button unlocks all the doors.

I have the user manual for the system on my truck if you want to take a look. I can't remember if you can change the behavior of the functions, I skimmed through it only to get to the remote programming section, as mine weren't working. All good now

No it can't be changed. If u disable the factory system you can install a aftermarket system that operates according to your preference.
