Yes double start in that instance. Realistically what kind of wear will that add onto a starter? If we start it once per day via remote it will add a extra 365 starts in additions to the other several thousands starts. I estimate my 1995 previa should have gotten at minimum 1500 starts a year, that's only 4x a day, times that by the last 22 years, that's a total of conservative estimate 33,000 starts. It's still on the factory starter and it's at 195,000 miles. Just saying, what's a extra start here and there in the grand scheme of things, it's a Toyota only thing they don't like is a floor mat stuck under the gas pedal lol

Purchased a remote starter/drone mobile setup from Steve.
I have absolutely no experience with ripping out car interior or doing any kind of electrical work. So why not try on my brand new '16 4Runner, right?
Steve was easy to communicate with. Being able to ask questions & send pictures during the install was helpful. (I told you i would have a million dumb questions, sorry haha)
Ended up getting everything done and it works perfectly! Would definitely recommend.

Installed mine yesterday, not too difficult once you get over the fear of chopping into the factory wiring. One piece of advice I'd give is to have a soldering iron that's at least 75w, my dinky Radio Shack 25w could't get hot enough for the thicker wires. I had a question about the new door lock data wire and Steve was very responsive on a Sunday evening, great customer service.
That said, have any of you guys had a problem with the alarm going off when you remote start from more than 10' away? I have the Compustar with EZGO and it works perfectly when you're under 10' away (starts after pressing lock 3x, doors lock/unlock automatically via EZGO) but if I try to start the car from my front door which is ~30' away the truck starts but the alarm goes off and doesn't stop honking8+ until I get within ~10'.
I tried Steve but I'm sure he's busy doing his actual job today, figured I'd try you guys as well.

I think to be fair, you will be responsible for roundtrip shipping. And deposit left for hardware going out if you choose advance exchange.

I got the basic remote start from Steve today. With the pics he sends and set up of the wiring harness, this really couldn't be easier.
If you have larger hands, this could be tough as there is not much slack in the factory wiring harnesses. I was right at 2 hours from start to truck starting on its own. Then another 30 Or so cleaning up the install and replacing trim. Money well spent.
Truck fires up on 3 clicks, I can still use the unlock on the remote, including the auto window down.

I purchased remote start/EZGO (Sensor that unlocks/locks door when close proximity) a few months ago. My only regret is not ordering this a long time ago. Definitely one of my favorite additions to vehicle. Has been nice using over the hot summer to start vehicle and get AC running before getting in.
Steve is amazing to deal with and always very responsive via phone, email, and text. Shipping of package was extremely quick. The pictures and instructions provided with package makes it easy for anyone. Like most, I spent about an hour going through instructions and pictures, and another couple hours with entire install.
I like the kit so much I am trying to coordinate something with steve to order one for my wife's Venza.

Purchased a Compustar alarm/remote start and drone from Steve, and I must say I was nervous at first but with the clear instructions and photos Steve provided, it made everything super easy! I give him mad props for taking the time and prewire everything I needed and cut and discard the wires I don't so it wasn't confusing at all. Think the hardest part on my end was trying to make the wires all nice and pretty. Had alarm systems in the past and it was a ***** trying to figure out which wires go to which and started to look like a birds nest. But with Steve's wiring and instruction, everything looks factory.
If you can wire a head unit, you could wire the alarm system or maybe it's easier than the head unit.
Loving the alarm system and the remote start with the Drone app. Now my sister wants one.
