I realize it’s been 2 years…what did you end up getting for your wife’s highlander?
I have the Accessorides plug and play in my 2015 SR5 Pre…and love it…
But, they don’t yet have one for my wife’s 2012 Highlander

Follow up. Had mine for about a year. Unit has been working flawless since the install. Customer service was great. He made time to get on the phone and walk me through an issue.
I opted for the two-way system for the purpose of long distance remote start. Here in NYC, I have to park sometimes around the block and do not have eyes on the 4Runner from the apartment. It is nice to get confirmation that the vehicle started. As i get older I cannot tolerate cold cars, especially a cold steering wheel and seat. The chill just cuts right into me. I keep the two-way remote in the apartment and carry only the stock remote. The stock remote does work with the remote starter as well. Three clicks on the lock button, it will remotely turn on or off the 4Runner. Luckily at work my car can be seen from my window. Seeing the marker lights (and the LED marker lights on the grill) turn on pretty much confirms that the remote start worked.
Since the system is a CompStar, gshadow325 was able to offer the RPS Touch Pad that sticks to the corner of the front window. Neat little thing to access your 4Runner when you don't have your keys or want to lock your keys in the vehicle. I have used this when SCUBA diving, at the water park, or any other activity you don't want to lose your keys.
An observation I wanted to share. Opening the trunk does not shut off the 4Runner. I was able to load cargo while the truck continued to warm up.

A few more orders went out today.
I got a couple kits from Steve for my wife's 2014 Subaru Forester and my 2015 4Runner.
The T4R was far easier as Steve has virtually made it plug and play, with just a couple of connections.
For the Subaru, Steve provided all the docs and with his help the install was pretty easy. Had a couple of hiccups that he was right on the phone to work through.
I wanted to say that working with Steve was a pleasure and anyone that needs a remote start/security system would be well looked after by Steve.

Merry Christmas guys.
Thank you for your support. This remote start system has come a long way from it's humble beginnings.
It started as a simple diy kit. Evolved into what we have today, a 98% plug and play kit that is loaded with options from smart phone to defroster controls to the lastest window roll up and down controls thru your smart phone!!

back story:
Hit and Run:
thanksgiving eve. compustar dash installed in my friends truck. everyone is home. you can see in the reflection in the vehicle that got hit a set of headlights coming real fast. compustar dash recorded a "motion" event. there is actually rear camera footage too but thats not available to me.
quality is much much better than this video show. facebook reduces quality on video clips. the important thing is @ 17 second mark, you will be able to see the licence plate CLEARLY!!
The Dash saved Thanksgiving for that family. Guy that ran, was a friend of a friend of another friend's friends cousin in law 2x's removed or something like that...found out there was dash cam footage with tag info. so he surrendered before the cops came to Lock his ass up. Cops said, thanks for making their lives easier and asked for a copy of the video and BUSINESS CARDS!!

Hey Steve - I'm about a year in after installing my Drone Mobile + remote start + RPS. Everything still working really well!
I noticed you mentioned you can now roll down the 4runner windows via Drone Mobile. Are there instructions on how I can modify my system to do so? That would be really helpful from where I live.
I ordered a remote start system from Steve and finished my install this past weekend. Everything turned out great.
I had a dealer-installed base Compustar system that I was not satisfied with (basic one way, low range), so I contacted Steve. He happened to be visiting my area over the holidays and graciously met with me to review my then-existing system and outline what would need to be done. He taped off a few of the wires that I would need to tap into and outlined the basic install procedure for me.
Install time for my new/upgraded system was around 4-5 hours. Because I was working off preexisting wiring from the initial installer, the standard instructions provided by Steve were not 100% applicable to me (Steve provided supplemental, handwritten instructions specific to my system). Prior to my install I've never taken apart any interior panels on any car, nor did I have much experience in working with soldering--all of which probably contributed to my install time.
If I were to do it again, the install would definitely take less time. Everything has worked perfectly since my first start up.

Also just finished installing a kit from Steve. Great instructions with pictures and great details pointed out no matter how many options you chose for your kit. I had a quick question for him Saturday morning and he was happy to help. He is very knowledgable about the ins and outs of the system and is able to explain it very easily.
The kit works seamlessly with the stock system and factory key fob if that is your choice. The phone controlled drone option is also a nice feature to control your vehicle from anywhere and always know the status of it through the app.
I highly recommend this kit from Steve if you are looking for a complete system with remote start, security, and easy functionality.

Reached out to Steve a few weeks ago to see if I was really capable of doing the install. Steve talked me through it and was very helpful. Ordered the kit with drone and the directions were straight forward. I had to call Steve once in the middle of the install and he walked me through exactly what I was missing.

not just yet 100% i have several systems out there waiting for other members to validate the wiring and install before i can launch it LIVE. many systems already are pre-wired up to do this. i just need it validated. Shoot me a email and lets discuss it further. You up for the validation help?
This is in early beta testing, i dont see an issue to make it a standard feature in the coming weeks!
