Psycho Climate Control Panel

Anyone run into the issue of their climate control buttons on a 99 T4R suddenly not working (IE. Defrost Front, On/Off, Mode, Fresh/Recirc, ect)? Everything will work fine and then all of a sudden the buttons act like they don't function. Completely hit or miss. Will start the rig up again the next day and they'll work fine...for a while.

Thoughts?

Yep,

Seems to be a common problem. I have the same issues. If I push 2 buttons at once I can usually get it where I want but sometimes I have to restart the 4R to make it respond. Supposedly there is a guy who via ebay will fix them for ~$70 and folks have been happy with the results.

Yeah, I saw another a bit pricier on ebay by modulerepair, but the reviews were real solid. The Rav4's must have used a simialr design, as there were a boatload of owners using the repair service. If I follow through I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the info.

Try this, it has worked for me. Had the same problem when I bought the ole girl and followed the tips described in this thread and has worked like a charm now for the last 3+ months.
