Pulling the dash from my 2004 tomorrow, anything tricky I should know?

I was lucky to have my '04 SR5 dash replaced under the warranty, Wrecked and insurance totaled that car this week. Co-Part comes to tow it away on Monday morning. my Sunday plan is to remove perfect condition dash from the 04, put it in to the 05 and leave the badly cracked '05 dash in the back of the totaled 04 to be hauled off, as it's scrapped material now anyway.

So my question as stated in the title, anything tricky I need to know? I've already removed center console- glove box- dropped the steering wheel- ac controls- stereo-gauge cluster- side pillar moldings.

Not sure how much this video can help you as they sped up the video through taking the dash out, but it will show you most of what he's taking loose while viewing from the back of the T4R, and the areas he working at to remove the fasteners holding dash in.

I would however recommend disconnecting the battery if you haven't already done so.

There is a plug behind airbag light, if you disconnect that and try to turn on the car you will have big issues which require the dealer. I would disconnect the battery wait a bit and then start taking it apart. If you need to start the car make sure that airbag plug is plugged in and do not start it wit it being disconnected.

It all went reasonably well. Thank you for your knowledge. Really had to hunt down all those connections to the frame! I did disconnect the battery and made sure all of my yellow connections were made on the wiring harness to the air bag before I started the car.

The airbag warning light on the dash is glowing red, i'll hook the car to a fault reader tomorrow and see what's code that brings up.

For sure there were some big dust bunnies on top of the air vents! and I found no in cabin air filter installed on the '05
