Pulling the trigger on 5100's. Does this sound about right?

I'd like to pull the trigger on this order today so I can get installing next weekend before a road trip but want to verify the parts

The Bilstein's are easy but I want to verify that those MOOG part numbers are valid for the FJ coil upgrade. The only other question is if I'll rub with the Spidertrax on there with the Limited 265/60-18

Front: BILSTEIN 5100 HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE FRONT STRUT SET C477
Front Coils: MOOG 81108 '07 FJ FRONT 4WD W/AC
Rear: BILSTEIN 33-187174 5100 REAR SHOCK SET
Rear Coils: MOOG 81083 '07 FJ REAR RWD
Spacers: SPIDERTRAX 1.25″ WHEEL SPACER PAIR

i just did this install . Moog pn# i used were 81108 and 81081

i believe you shouldnt have any rubbing issues with that setup.

The 81081 was impossible to find in stock anywhere with a decent price so I ate the extra $20 and ordered from moog-suspension-parts.com after verifying that they were actually in stock and ready to shop. Everyone else was 3-4 week lead time.

So ordered all but the coils from Wheelers and the coils from the other place. Hopefully everything will show up next week and I can knock it out next weekend.

Yeah, all they had was the 81083 which is the 2WD version which according to MOOG specs was slightly shorter in uncompressed length. The 81081 is the 4WD version which is what it appears most are using.

Have you found stock of the 5100s? I've been waiting three weeks and still nothing (backordered) from bilstein.

I ordered from Wheelers Offroad and they were supposedly in stock and ready to ship. I didn't call to confirm, but the confirmation email didn't say anything about being back ordered.

I hope not, I really do need to get these on in the next 3 weeks before I have to go haul a trailer back from Florida next month.

I ordered mine off ebay from downsouthmotorsportsinc just yesterday. I asked them if they had them in stock before I placed the order, they responded right away and the shocks shipped yesterday from San Diego.

Desert Rat, my local shop here told me the same story as yours. They have been waiting to receive 5100's for weeks. Mentioned something about Bilstein closing one of its plants.

I also added a set of air bags to the rear. Figured since I will have it completely apart, that is the time to add the air bags.

Now can anyone help me out with the setting on the fronts? Given the setup listed, would I want to set to .85 or 1.75 on the front?

Sooo very not happy with Moog-Suspension-Parts.com

When I spoke with them last Thursday, they verified that 100% without a doubt both sets of coils were in stock and ready to ship from 2 different warehouses. I was told one would ship Thursday afternoon and one would ship Friday morning.

After never receiving a shipping notification I followed up with them today. Today they tell me that the 81081 rears are on back order until April 14th. After asking them why I was told that they verified stock and would ship immediately and then was never told of the backorder until I followed up, they responded to me that the rep was new and didn't know what she was doing.

Had they told me last week I would have ordered them from ebay or chosen another non-moog path. Now I'm stuck with half a suspension upgrade that was supposed to go in this weekend and pissed off.

I don't mind screw ups if something is NOT available, but don't tell me it is and then surely don't forget to tell me that it's not until I follow up.

Bad bad...BAD customer service.

Dam that sucks. =/ Rockauto has them back in stock now.

I found out my front XREAS struts were replaced less than 20k miles ago, so I actually just ordered up the Daystar 2.5/1.5 kit.

I dont' see them on Rock. I see the 81083 which is the 2wd version but not the 81081.

I wonder if the Rockwell or Raybestos are worth trying.

I'm thinking about the moog fronts still but I'm stuck on the rears. I need to get something in by next weekend at the latest before we take the truck on a trip to tow a car back. I have the bags and all 5 billies in hand, just waiting on springs.

I think I found an ebay seller who has both in his hands ready to ship. Unfortunately they are about $20/pair more than I originally expected, but for new springs I guess I can manage.
