Exhaust is shot on my 96. I'm, just about to go with the Borla Catback. Just wondering what I need to be aware of. I also have a 2 inch body lift sitting here in the box from Toytech. Will I run into problems matching these up?? How about the cat? I believe I have a highflow cat on the truck now... i had heard there was a match-up issue. I'm about to drop coin on this thing right now....any last words of advice?? Borla 14659 Touring Cat-Back Exhaust System Fits 96-02 4Runner | eBay

Ok , I'll place full blame on any complications AT ALL on you bastages.....I expect a 15 minute install and immediate attention from all da b1tches afterwards. :cheer2:

So it's going to go from moronic to just stupid. I would get a stock replacement. Loud exhausts aren't for these kinds of trucks.
Yeah, thanks for your input. Are you one of these forum guys that got beat up on the playground everyday and you think your getting even sitting at home in your underwear with your starwars action figures leaving rude comments? You sound like an idiot taking an exhaust all personal ya know?

Calm your tits you big sissy, it was more of a joke than anything. I have a 4Runner with a loud exhaust if it makes you feel better. Btw I sold my Star Wars action figure collection a while ago for a decent profit. Decided I wasn't into it anymore.

I was happy with the napa cat back. Wasn't cheep though. But three years later it still isn't rusting.

This Truck is a build for my son, it's what he wanted. What do I know? Kids today...:ranger:

I have a Borla cat back on mine and it's much quieter than no exhaust.
It's not too loud in my opinion.

It went on easy but as with any exhaust system test fit it all before you crawl under the truck and make your adjustments where it's comfortable. I was impressed with the build quality.

Tailpipe goes straight out the back. It doesn't interfere with the stock trailer hitch or a curt one, but it might not play well some aftermarket bumper setups.

Yes it will provide a better sound but these trucks aren't really known for the most amazing exhaust voice lol. Afterall, it's a naturally aspirated 6 cylinder.

Performance wise, you wont see any 'suck you into the seat' ponies unless you have an SC or Turbo. Even then, you're still in a clunky, nearly 2 ton TuRD.

All in all, it's what you and/or your son wants. There's MANY MANY others who have made far less practical purchases for their money pits. Me included :D
