My family's mechanic said that noise is due to the master cylinder pressure sensor going bad, furthermore the pressure sensor that needs to be replaced is "integrated to the master cylinder" and therefore replacing the sensor requires replacing the entire master cylinder (~$2,500 including labor). Does this seem correct?
