Purchased Platnum warranty for new 4R

I purchased a 7-75K Toy Platnum warranty for $475, is this a good price ???
After the track record of my last 4R I may never need it though , good peace of mind though.

I got mine for $500... same coverage...

I agree - good piece of mind - all cars have more electronics which are really expensive to fix and Murphy's Law is always in play - if you do not get it, something will break at 36,001 or 37 months that will cost more than the warranty..

I got it from my Local Toyota Dealer and it is bumper to bumper with ZERO deductible !! I thought it was cheap peace of mind.

Me too.. the dealer..

If you call around, you will find a Toyota that will sell this to you at a reasonable price... Do not let them try to sell it to you for anything above 500 for 7/75.

Does it cover everything? (except normal wear and tear)?

Yes, good price, esp with the 0 deduct. When you annualize the ext wty, it's cheap peace of mind IMO.

Click on the "view brochure" part of the Platinum Section. Page 3 shows what is covered. The only thing it lacks, IMO, is interior pieces that can show wear (fabrics and painted plastics, for example). It seems to cover all the mechanisms that can break (door locks, window motors, etc) though.

It is a great value, IMO, to get a 7 year, 75k bumper to bumper warranty for around $500. It also covers towing, rental car, and is transferable 1 time (surely that will help resale value if you sell within the time/mileage period).

And you can buy up to 36k miles...I think Ill wait and buy next year, but who knows if the pricing will go up? I wonder what is covered under powertrain 5/60 cwarranty compared to the Plat. plan..? There must be alot of duplication?

I have no fears about the powertrain. Window motors and all the electronics that could go bad are the pain in the arse. (I do seriously doubt I'll need the warranty. I'm 1/5th of the way into mine and haven't needed to visit the dealer yet.
