Purchasing a 4Runner

I am looking at a 2005 4runner Sport V-6 with 4x4 and 100k miles. The owner has the truck in perfect shape.

MY ?'s

What are the pro's and con's of the 4x4 feature other than the obvious(Climbing hills and)

Are they reliable systems, are they as reliable as the trucks themselves or are there problems with them?

What kind of gas mileage difference will I notice over a sport model 4x2?

You cant go wrong with a 4runner! Cons to a 4x4? None that i can see unless you don't need 4x4. There are plenty of trucks on this site with over 200k miles with just routine maintenance. Ive got 80k and had to replace a light bulb.
