Purchasing my Lift Kit!

Forgive my ignorance on the matter - but would the Toytec 4Runner spec shocks or the Bilsteins be a better option? My level of wheeling is really going to be confined to the occasional weekend off-pavement or trail rides. Have no interest in rock crawling.
Will also be electing to do the UCAs too since a 3" lift reduces the alignment adjustability.

Look man, do not let people talk you into a spacer lift if you were initially looking at a $1800 toytec setup and a $2600 icon setup and were good with the prices. These 2 options are both great options in my opinion.
With what i hear you saying about the amount of offroading you will be doing i would go with the toytec ultimate setup. I have had luck with bilsteins shocks (which is what the ultimate has) so that's the only reason i lean that direction instead of the boss setup. Icons are awesome if you have the dough to spend on them, and if you do, i would go that route.
With the coilovers in both kits you can get adjustability up front to have whatever rake you want and you will have nice shocks out back also.
Of course there are a million people going to say a million things so i am just chiming in with my opinion. I do the same wheeling as you basically and I got the toytec coilovers up front and the wheeler t13 springs for the rear. You can keep the factory UCA's with this setup also as you don't have to go the full 3 inches up front if you don't want.
Moral of story... if you have $1500 to spend on a lift, you have plenty of options, and spacers should not be one of them.

I suggest you call them. I have read this forum for years, and my Tacoma forum years ago. I stilled called and chatted for about 20-30 minutes going over options, usage, prices, combinations, everything.
Not once did I feel them try to sell me up.
Definoately give them a call.

I agree with he said, if you were looking into toytec and icon, and didnt have an issue with price. Why go down from there? Yes, it is never a bad thing to save money, but at the same time. You never know down the road if you decide to do some more offroading. Or anything to where this might come in handy later on. Also, the bilsteins are great.
Instead of saying to go with spacers because its cheaper and will give you what you're looking for, my two cents, go with the Toytec over the Icon. Still saving you money, and if your not off road a lot, Icon isnt needed. Just nice.
