Just playing. Strange that someone would actually start a thread intended to slam the color of other 4runners. Either he has too much time on his hands or he gets way to much satisfaction by trying to put others down. My guess is that he started the thread sometime getween gym class and home ec.

Not that it matters, but I actually really like that color.

Not purple but still one of the rare colors. Autumn blaze metallic, made in 99' only, I believe they made around 2,500 or so. Many Autumn Blaze 4Runners are rusted and not in well condition, at least the ones I see down hear, which is rare to none. Not planing to do anything crazy just maintenance and possibly forced induction. Also it's a 2WD so I wanna swap out the rear end or put in a differential. Although it's a street rig so i'm not going to be using my diff. lock alot. I just think it should have the function and capabilities if needed.

I actually like Autumn Blaze. There are a lot of vehicles that look great in brownish tones. I don't know why they aren't more popular. My 4Runner is grey and I love the color, but grey tones and silvers have been too popular for the longest time now. They are everywhere.

I don't know about the ABM,just looks like a fancy brown to me and in person I just don't like that color.......or that funky teal green that lasted about 5 minutes.

Here is my Brazilian (assembled in Argentina from Japanese parts) '97 3.0L 5-speed HiLux SW4. After 14 years, we are used to the color. One thing it has, that ours do not, is a removable factory third-row bench seat.

My 96 is the Stellar Blue Pearl, I get asked alot what color it is, blue or purple.
I like it. I would like it more with the black flares and a sport hood tho. LOL

Here's one locally that I checked out during my search. (still looking !!)
'02 Sport Edition. Asking $10,800 but has 149k miles. Torn on that color but the thing is quite clean. If it had less miles I might go for it. I think black PC'd wheels or replacements and a minor lift would have this thing looking very nice. The lighting really changes the color on these things.

Sport models are pretty hard to come by in my region. Hell I might drive a pink one if I wanted a sport bad enough... well maybe not that extreme but I would drive the one above for sure. :shrug:

You don't get it. It all depends on the light. Most of the time it looks blue, but in certain light, it is definitely towards the purple end of things. Sunrise and sunset, for example. It gives the impression it doesn't like early mornings. Compare FRAYED's post and mine: they are the same color truck, I swear.

Oh, I get it.... it was daylight and it had probably faded a bit from the original blue. Looks purple but then again my GF says I'm color blind. LOL
