Purple Fog Lights

What is your advice for getting purple-colored fog lights? I've seen the Baja Fog Pocket kits in yellow only. I've seen a vinyl purple film, but I think that'll be too ghetto looking. And I don't like the purple circled LED light bulbs. Any suggestions?

I haven't heard of that before, why purple? I have the amber lens and love how much it cuts through everything.

Very odd request... you are probably thinking of a HID bulb in a very high color temperature...

Very poor choice in lighting if that's what you were getting at... not only is the color temperature not very functional, HID bulbs in a housing not designed for one just makes for a bad setup - both for you and others.

I don't mess with anything other than 2800-4500k temp for fog lights.

If you get a non-purple colored bulb, you might actually be able to use your fog light for what it's for.

Purple is only 2 HP... yellow is an easy 5HP, 5.5 with the sticker applied to the corner glass.

Use a blacklight bulb

They look way cooler and are just as useless!

Not at all... in things like rain blue/purple (6000k+) its going to look like the lights are not even on, and in fog/dust it's going to feel very reflective and distracting.

And yes, the warmer color temps in things like heavy fog, dust out sand conditions, rain and snow... colors like orange-amber in that 2800-3000k range are most ideal.

Color is only one half of the equation... the housing/projector/lamp assembly also needs to throw that light where it needs to be otherwise you end up as "one of those guys"...
