put 20" wheels from a '11 Limited on a gen3

Weird question - couldn't find an answer in search:

I put new wheels and tires on my '11 Limited. The stock wheels are the 20x7 with 245/60/20 tires, overall diameter 31.6", not sure exact width. I believe the offset is 4.5

I also have a '01 SR5 2WD with stock suspension and was thinking of trying the Limited wheels on it. Any knowledge of whether that might work?

If you just have the wheels laying around, why dont you bust out the wrench and try one on? Then you will have your answer.

You likely wont find any info on putting 20's on a 3rd gen. Maybe look at customtacos.com

Interested to see the pics. I have to admit, I am one of the many 5th gen owners that don't like the limited rims even on the 5th gen limited. There seem to be a lot of 5th gen limited owners that try to swap to SR5 rims. Will be interesting to see if they look better on a 3rd gen.

I'm not really a fan of the oversize rim craze but on your's and the combo of the OEM wheels really stand out but at the same time are a tad understated, compared other brand's *bling* wheels,which I like.

Yep, not my cup of tee. A bit too much on the dub side for me. But not my truck. I have certainly seen much worse. But, hey, they dont even look good to me on the vehicle they come with. Thanks for posting pix.

How much are tires for those rims? They must make a pair of Duratracs seem downright cheap.

The only rims I could rock, and on a 5th gen, would be the ones found on the TE.

20" tires are never fun to buy. More money for a bigger hole in the middle. I bought one set for the stock 20's on my dodge ram. But i already have some aftermarket 17" rims picked out and some tires for the next time it needs new rubber.

I think the 5th gen wheels look a lil flashy even no the 5th gen (I'm not of the 5th gen all together). Now if these were on a lifted truck I could maybe warm up to them

Agree with the comments pr and con. Overall, since I had the 20's, I think its an upgrade.
