thats your best and easiest bet. come with instructions and they are the factory lights. they work wonders and look perfect
just to be warned they only work if you have the factory fog light harness installed in your rig. so look under the front bumper and see where the turn signal harness is, and if there is a split wire with an open connector just hanging there, then your in business

Sorry, I just did a quick search and I don't see them on ebay anymore or at least right now. That is a good kit though. Those little lights put out a lot of light.

did you buy it from that company? where both of the fogs 120
I bought them from that ebay seller i linked above. I believe it is the same company. From what I remember, they were 120 but i think something strange happened with the auction and I emailed them and offered 120, and they agreed. I don't remember all of the details, but the ebay price was lower than on the site.
On another note, shouldn't your 02 sport have fogs?

junk yard possibly. the link i posted is for both lights as a set. you get the drivers side and passenger, along with instructions
I thought the OEM fogs were micro DEs.... Am I mistaken?

AFAIK the micro DEs were only dealer installed options. If they came from the factory, they weren't the Hella units. The Hella's are a direct replacement though.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
I assume the switch is a toggle type that replaces a blank in the dash on the left side of the steering wheel? I can't really tell by the picture on the web site.
Yes, that is correct. It is just an on/off switch that goes in one of the knock outs. The switch connects to 2 wires on the wiring harness that goes to the steering wheel. If you want to, you can also replace the whole turn signal steering wheel stalk with one that has a fog light switch. I don't think it is that hard to install, but it costs more $$$.

I think I found what was wrong with my Micro DE's. Since my 4Runner came with foglights standard, I already had the wiring set up in my turn signal stalk and under the steering wheel where I added the included switch for the DE's. I thought that installing the switch would give me independent control over the foglights, but it turned out not working at all. Only the OEM switch would turn them on and off once installed. I had to crimp a couple wires together to install the switch and I think this is the weak point in my setup. Splicing into the wires just added an extra connection/problem spot for some wiring to short out or something along those lines. I'm going to remove all the wiring for the switch and see if that keeps my fogs from constantly blowing out.:lasercannon:
If you have the micro de's, it helps to give them a nice cleaning every once in a while to get rid of the corrosion. I had 2 non functional lights for about a month and I finally just took my dremel and a wire brush end and cleaned all the contacts in the lamp. Both are good as new now, I just need to find a better way to keep the water out of the passenger side....

Here is the answer to your problems. There is a thread over at yotatech about these shields. Apparently Hella knows about the problem with corrosion but Toyota was unwilling to start producing these shields to keep water out of the units.
Or you could just never drive in the rain!
