Went to go put my engine in today so I could at least get the mounting brackets in place, and see where the engine will sit. I then realized the NWOR sent me the wrong bellhousing. I think they sent me one for a W56/W59 instead of the one for the R150F. Didn't notice until I went to mount it to the transmission, and nothing lined up.
I love this project!! If I can get my hands back on my 2nd gen I think I'd go this route. But I think I'd try to find a wrecked mustang with an EFI HO motor. I know it'd be a lot more electrical work than a carbed motor but I like the reliability of EFI.
Wow what pricks! BS all aroundGood News! Called them again today and was told that the warehouse is supposed to be sending me my missing slave cylinder and pilot bushing.
Also told them about the bellhousing problem, and after they tried to tell me I must not have a V6 transmission in my 4Runner they gave me an email address to send a photo to. Sounds like they only check their email once a week though.
Is the 302 a common swap for 4runners? Pretty awesome that you're doing this though. Sucks about the customer service.
I'd like to see a 5.3LS swap.![]()
Also, I had to use some of the original hardware, as NWOR sent nuts that didn't match the bolts (argh!). It would be SOOOO sweet if that guy who runs the place would put someone else in charge, so you could take advantage of the nice parts without the hassles.

how exactly do those motor mounts work? they don't look like they will bolt to the factory spot. and they look NOTHING like my mounts.
although, I got my stuff used, and pretty sure they originally came off an 87.
Here are the instructions that came with it, and a shot of the mount on my engine. I can't get any better shots right now.
