I might as well do aftermarket UCAs (breaking the bank and going Total Chaos) and tundra brakes while I'm at it.

Glad your OK and sad that your rigs not but things can be replaced. It looks like that's the route you've decided to go.

If your set on TC arms that's great. Take a look at the SPC's though. They have a lot more adjustability to help clear your tires from the pinch welds. Plus they have a greasable sealed ball joint. Either way you go get as much cash as you can from the insurance. If you have any left take a nice road trip with it.

Why are you fixing your rig yourself so quickly?
Did the Camry driver not have insurance? Are they not providing you a rental car?
I would take a look at JBA arms. They use a sealed balljoint that has as much- or more- travel than the uniball arms. You won't have to Tri-Flow them all the time, and they won't make any noise. They don't have them listed for our rigs, but they are the same as '95-04 Tacoma- which they do list.

I never looked through this build until today. I was scrolling through and saw the pictures of the accident and thought that really looks like Atlanta. Then I saw your location. Sorry about what happened, but glad you're OK. Hopefully you can get her back on the road better than before!

You need to get away from Atlanta... At least 8 of the top 10 scariest/stupidest things I've ever seen while driving have been in Atlanta or near Atlanta. I hate that place with a passion because of how people drive there.

I'm 90% sure I'm gonna do TC, because I've seen some horror stories with the welds breaking on SPC, and my buddy is running TC and says he has no problem maintaining the uniballs. The adjustability would be great though.

The actual accident was around 2 weeks ago, and I just posted all this at the same time which is why it looks liked I rushed it. He does have insurance (luckily) and I'm just using my brother's car (he's in college).

I couldn't possibly agree more. I hate Atlanta with a flaming passion, 90% of the people here drive like they think being a dick will make theirs bigger. If it was up to me I'd be in Colorado or Utah right now.

Almost Driveable

Luckily a buddy let me use his shop to speed repairs up. After many hours of repairs, it's finally drivable, so it's on to body work. Luckily I've found two thundercloud doors on eBay, and I'm buying a rocker panel from here. Might need new fenders but not sure yet. Here it is with some fresh Tundra Brakes and Total Chaos(I know the paint is ricey but I wanted them to match the Kings and Total Chaos :lalala.

Looking at those accident pictures I know exactly where you got swerved into on 75 by Northside Dr.; that's a bad spot altogether. Glad to hear no one was hurt. Good luck on the repair and rebuild. Nothing ricey about the KING blue!:bump2:

Damage Update

I guess I should probably update this with everything that's happening. After I finished up with mechanical work, I had it towed to a guy for body work, I was hoping it would just be outer rocker (which I bought from here) but boy was I wrong. B pillar was damaged, and the rocker from Wolf Steel wasn't a direct fit (it was worth a shot for 75 bucks), so we had to buy the Toyota B pillar/outer rocker. The part did come in handy though, because the Toyota part didn't fill the whole thing, so we patched some of the Wolf Steel rocker in. Now it turns out that when I skidded, my arms were bent, forcing my whole rear axle out of alignment, so I'm waiting on adjustable arms to get here. ALSO, my inner rocker was bent, so that's even more work to do.

Also I forgot to post this, but luckily one of the guys involved in the accident had a dash cam. If you don't own one of these, I suggest buying one because it saved A LOT of hassling with insurance and the guy who cause the accident.

Puttster, dude, so sorry for your loss. I can identify with how you feel - my 99 wasn't totaled, but I was worried. I commend you for taking on the repair project, hope it works out for the best. Also, taking notes from your build thread for my future project :thumb:

Just checked my dash cam for footage from two days ago where a cyclist ran into a car ahead of me stopped at a traffic light. Damn clip got overwritten, it was funny af :bash:
