Fenders

Boom! Glass fenders are all mounted up! They're not a perfect fit but that's to be expected. Getting close!

Finished

Finally the rig is back in my hands! Work was actually done a while ago but the first inspector failed me because the frame was cut for the bumper (don't cut the frame until AFTER inspection in the future). Luckily I mounted my tires the day before the "big Atlanta snowstorm," and got some fun snow wheeling in. A little sanding and painting needed, but at least it's back!

The crash is scary man, shows how quickly things can go so wrong. Glad you're alright.
 
Really loved to see the progression of the truck after the accident. Good on you for doing what most would not.

Curious if you could expand on what you consider the pros and cons of your first build? You mentioned you did some things poorly so I am looking to learn!

Thanks man! Yeah it took a fraction of a second and I didn't have the car for 6 months because of it.

Yeah no problem. The whole build just felt completely rushed, like my wiring was really unclean, the ride was way too stiff because of the shocks/coils I went with, I could've done a way nicer job on those retrofits, I could've masked better when I painted everything (or just taken them off to paint); I should've just taken my time and done it right instead of rushing it. I also didn't know very much about 4Runners at the time.
 
Whole lot of maintenance/bumper

Went the whole 9 miles this weekend (coolant flush, tranny fluid, gear oil for diffs/ t-case, brake bleed, oil change) also replaced radiator. Also finally got the bumper painted (Rustoleum self-etching primer and NAPA color match-1D2), and spent 3 hours putting it on with the help of 2 other guys. It wouldn't be so hard but the new radiator and fixed BL gap made thinks a little difficult. Ended up driving next to a wall and using the bottle jack to push it on!

What was the inspection for? Glad your 4runner is back in action again. Your bumper turned out great.

When you are rebuilding a salvaged vehicle, you have to pass a rigorous state inspection to make sure everything is back to factory condition to get your new rebuilt/branded title, and thanks man!

Wheeling Tray

Went up to Tray Mountain with a 4th gen buddy to get some wheeling in before the week started. There's way too much mud up there for my taste, but still fun. These Kings and Superflex coils are great!
