anyone have any problems or have to replace a drivers power door lock or window button?? If so, what did you have to do, what parts did you have to buy?

I recently replaced the power lock servo inside the driver's side fron door because the button wasn't popping up when I flipped the lock switch. Once I removed the door panel, it took about 15 minutes to get the lock assembly out. Once I disconnected the operating rods for the innner handle, outer handle, outside key lock and button, I had to loosen the two bolts that held the rear window track inside the door so I could get the lock assembly out of the door.

I purchased a used lock servo from ebay $35 vs $120 new, and it's worked fine.

If you're talking about the actual lock switchs, the panel that carries the switches just pops out of the armrest, and you have access to whatever you need..

Good Luck...

Sometimes the contacts on the switch circuit boards build up enough corrosion to stop working. If you can take apart the switch it may help to clean the contacts with a pencil eraser.

wow great thanks guys I'm really not sure what the prob is. Not sure if I understand what the "servo" is, I took the door panel off, took out the elec. adapter to control but didn't see any corosion of such. Anyone know if the pwr door lock and unlock relays with seperate wires? I haven't taken apart the pwr unit ( "servo") to see inside to see if there is any corosion. Any ideas???
