QI wireless cell phone charger mount hardwire?

I'm moving to wireless charging for my iPhone and am curious if anyone has hardwired a QI charger mount to their truck? I'm not sure if there any particular concerns I should be aware of since its a phone charger.

Also, anyone recommend any particular charger mount? I'm currently returning a magnetic charger that I'd hoped would work — but the magnets were just too weak to hold my phone when things got bumpy. The search starts again...

Just make your own. Check this site out. The link is for a Nexus 5 and an LG charger but it can be modified to fit just about any phone. I haven't used it personally but I'm thinking about converting my N5 into a ODB reader full time. If I end up making one before you I'll let you know.

As far as brands of chargers go, I have a RavPower that has about three years on it that is still going strong. Anker also makes quality products for a reasonable price.

I just made my own by modifying an existing charger cradle with the Qi induction pad. I would not do anything permanent to the truck directly.
