That big piece of plastic between the MAF line and intake...isn't it just a silencer and wouldn't removing it let the engine breathe a little better? For those that have done this, what size piping and clamps do I need?
There are plenty of threads out there. My experience with it is that it's a waste of time. When I had my box removed I noticed no power gains and my fuel mileage was always 1-2 mpg lower, all it did was make noise. I eventually went back to stock

Wont argue with that lol. I did like how it cleaned it up but Id rather get better gas mileage. It only takes a few extra minutes to pull the tube when I need the space
