quality timing belt kits?

Timing belt work on the horizon and looking on fleabay there are tons of kits, some being all Toyota parts and some more inclusive than others. Just wondering if anyone has used a kit or could recommend a vendor or kit.

Man, a guy in Golden said he can do a T belt for 360 (6 cylinder). Should I go with him or is he skimping on something?

Is he doing the water pump too? How about the cam and crank seals? (although probably not needed until about 150K miles+). New tensioner? What brand of parts?

I don't have to tell you this but I will, you ALWAYS get what you pay for.

No way is he doing the whole thing for 360, sounds like just the timing belt. In my mind, it makes little sense to tear down to the timing belt and not replace everything you can in there. And not to insult anyone's integrity, but, if you do it yourself, you know what got replaced.

Aircabinman on eBay all the way. I just did mine over the weekend. All quality stuff.

His kit includes the idler and tensioner rollers. Use them. I might not have replaced those had they not been included, but I'm glad I did. My idler roller had a little bit of a grinding feel/sound to it. I also had a bit of a squeal, either from the roller or a belt. My truck feels noticeably smoother and is quieter now.

Dang, that's cheap. But it doesn't have the 3 accessory belts, thermostat, or tensioner. The tensioner probably isn't necessary, but if you don't take yours off, you'll need to get the tensioner compressing tool (Amazon.com: Schley (SCH97300) Toyota Timing Belt Tensioner Compressor: Home Improvement).

EDIT: The kit you linked says it contains the tensioner, but I think he means the tensioner roller, displayed in the picture. The actual tensioner (T-shaped thing) isn't included.

Never needed the tensioner on one. You can the the belts and oem Tsat for less than $75. Still a good deal, this is the same seller I bought my 3.4l rebuild kit from. I built my own tensioner tool.
