Quality tweeter replacement?

It looks like these are shallow enough to fit in the dash location. Has anyone used these yet?

Are you looking at just the tweeter or the tweeter and midbass driver?
The tweeter will fit no problem, but the midbass driver would take some major work to fit in there. It is not a very big space. People have had to modify to get a 3" to fit. I believe a 4" was done by someone on here, but it was a pretty custom job.

Is that bc of depth? I would think a 6.5" would fit in a 6x9" hole just fine? I am happy doing a small amount of modifications

I don't like the tweeters in the dash and the sound coming from in front. Sounds weird to me.
Wish they put tweeters in the door or higher to get a fuller sound.

Those, collectively, are front door speakers. The so called tweeters are up higher in the dash corners. Those tweeters will fit in that location, but you also will need to replace the door speakers with the component woofs. Alternatively, many 3.5" speakers fit fine in the dash tweeter location, make a huge difference in sound quality, and are a bunch cheaper.

The 6x9s are in the door. The dash has a small set of tweeters. You mentioned in the dash location. You can fit a pretty big speaker in the doors. They aren't a true 6x9 so you will need an adapter no matter what size you put in there.
Several people have fit an 8" but you really need to dampen the door for that. You are limited to about 3.5" in the door.

i wonder how much difference replacing the door speakers make since most people are running "party" mode most of the time anyway right? which is most of the output going to the dash and lift gate speakers

I've got a 2015 with no party mode so I can't say. I have talked to a couple people who said they make a big difference and leave room for an amp if you decide to go that route in the future but are made to accept the factory deck power well.
