Queen city?

Charlotte, NC here. I'll post up for a meet and greet for a couple of weeks out. Moved over to a 4Runner from an Xterra, so starting from scratch on a build. Looking forward to some fall trail rides, though I'm still mostly stock.
 
Lets get something going once all this rain clears out of the area. As much as I would love to get out there in the mud, I just purchased my 4th gen and still have on stock size tires, so I wouldn't get very far!

Are there any dirtroads or trails around the Charlotte area without going all the way up to Uwharrie?
 
just moved to Charlotte from MD about 3 months ago.. i don't have my tools with me yet, but i love doing suspension installs(dont know much about leafs though) i'll have my tools down here once i buy a house in a yr or so with a garage to store them and work on vehicles. if anyone is not far, i need a place to install a spacer to correct my lean in the rear.. i talked to one guy here i forgot his name but it's in my pm's, but he's up for helping ppl out
 
Just wanted to keep this thread updated, I'm still available to do suspension installs etc. I'm located just a few minutes from Piedmont high school. I have a full shop minus lift but that hasn't stopped me from anything including lockers, transmission swaps, transfer case swaps, axle repair, axle seal replacements, hub bearing installations, fixing broken studs, etc. If you have any 4runner, fj, tacoma, tundra repair, upgrade, or modification needs other than body work feel free to contact me via PM. Also. I will be going to Uwharrie this weekend if anyone cares to join. I actually took off next week from work so will be going out on Saturday and coming back next Wednesday. Let me know if anyone is interested.

I've been twice. But I use an app that has numerous maps for different parks and it'll use your GPS and track u accurately so you don't get lost. It's called Maples then search for Uwharrie, there's a few maps one of them works for vehicles vs atv or biking trails

Hey Guys!

Just purchased a 2003 4Runner Limited on 11/20. I'm located in South Charlotte, and have been here for 13+ years. I'm bare stock right now with really no big upgrades in the near future but I'm good a turning a wrench and know my way around rigs and wheelin. PM me if you need help on a project or a trail buddy. Had a 1981 K5 on 35's in High School. Looking forward to meeting most of y'all, wether it be at a meet up or on the road.
 
Queen City Offroad Toyota FB group is having a meet this Sunday the 23rd at Carolina Ale House up in Concord at 1pm if anybody is interested.
