*..Question about 03 headunit to 06..*

I have an 03 4r ltd v8 with the jbl 6disc and rear seat entertainment. I recently switched out the 03 headunit to an 06 headunit for the mp3/wma capability. I was wondering if the rearseat entertainment will work with the new headunit? I would try it out but I think my remote battery was dead when I had the 03 HU in and then I put the 06 HU in and got a new battery and it still doesnt work so I'm not sure if it is the HU or something with the Rear seat audio system? Your help is appreciated. thanks

It should be plug and play. Maybe there is corrosion in the remote battery box. Does the dome light work OK because it gets it's power from there.

Dome light works just fine, no problems there. I remember we actually did try another remote and still nothing turned on on the little display below the light. is there a fuse somwhere for the RSE? Has anyone had that work with a different HU? I would love to have it work if possible...

The fuse is the 10 amp dome fuse. I know it's a lot of work but you could try the old head unit.
