Question about 5vzfe and rear locker from 03 Tacoma

I recently purchased a 5 speed 4wd 1997 4Runner SR5 with a bad 3.4 and found a rolled Auto 2003 Tacoma prerunner TRD 2wd with a 80k mile motor and a rear E locker.

Now both motors are the 5VZFE, but I noticed the 2003 Tacoma had coil packs on it, would I be able to convert it back to how my 97 4runner is? All I really need is the longblock but I want to make sure I can actually use this motor without too much trouble.

It also has the E locker, but the yard will only sell me the whole rear end/axle and not just the locker. Is this an easy swap into my 4runner? Can I just remove the locker and install it into my T4R or should I hold out and look for an actual 4runner one?

Yes you can use the long block, just swap over whatever sensors are needed. Do a search on the elocker swap, its an easy swap just a little fabbing involved.
