Question about paint

I just upgraded my SR5 hood to Trail hood with the scoop. I swapped it out yesterday thinking I'm going to get it painted in few weeks and it came with Electro Deposit Primer coated. How long can I keep it like this on my truck without getting painted? It actually blend in real nice.

6 mos easily, but not a yr.

Get it wrapped with vinyl that will last longer.
