Question about rust+rain.

Huh. I put some rustoleum rust converter all around the back where the spare tire should have been, and it has all fallen off and rusted where it used to be. I will have to grind it off and put POR-15 on it.

The POR-15 seems great so far, but takes alot prep

I suspect part of my problem was that I took too much rust off. There were some spots where the stuff seemed to convert properly and actually turned black, and it seemed pretty hard. The rest of the spots, it just peeled off.

You might be using a different rustoleum product, because mine definitely didn't look anywhere near that even and opaque.
