question for those who have rubbing issues with their up-sized tires

where abouts do you rub?

would it still rub if your wheel was pushed out an 1inch further?

reason i ask is because i am running a spacer on my wheel. (bolts to the hub, with a set of new studs.)

i would like to get a bigger tire than 265/70/ 17

along with my wheels pushed out about an inch combined with a cornfed/daystar/revtek etc lift, what size tire can i go??

285/70??
285/75??

since you have a set of wheel spacers you should be good. I have a revtek lift on my 04 sport and I currently have 265/70/17 BFG's and when I was shopping for tires I had a place mount a 285/70/17 BFG AT on my stock wheel.

The UCA barely rubbed the teeth of the BFG at partial lock and really rubs at full lock. When the wheel is straight it didn't rub at all.

Now, I didn't look past that since I was not running spacers. You might run into some run at full lock with your fender liners... but all that is minor since alot of members are just trim-to-fitting as they see necassary.

If you where going w/ some wranger MT (275/70/17) another member (Expat) runs those on his stock SE rims w/ minor rubbing. So those should work for you too since you are spaced. You could prolly even run 285 MT's.

If you plan to mount AT tires, 285/70/17 will work fine with any 3" spacer lift. Removing the front mud flaps will take care of the minor rubbing issue.

If you plan to get MT tires, stay with 275/70/17, unless you plan to do a more aggressive suspension lift/body lift setup.

Due to the more aggressive tread/shoulder design of MTs, there will be more rubbing.

btw, I have a 99% new (1mo old) 285/70/17 Revos for sale, if anyone is interested.

What kind of wheel spacers are you running? My next set of tires I'm upsizing to 285's and will probably get a set of wheel spacers.
