Question - Looking to trade my 2wd 1995 22re truck for a 1991 4x4 v6 4runner

So I am looking at an even trade on my 2wd 22re truck for a 4x4 v6 4runner... Given that both vehicles are in similar condition and are both running fine, should I be hesitant to trade a 22re for a v6? A buddy of mine tells me the v6's have alot of issues...

No issues if maintained properly... Only major weak spot on the 3.0's are head gaskets and most were done under recall... Go to your local Toyota dealer and get them to run the VIN, they'll be able to tell you what recalls have been performed..

The V6 isn't real great in the power or MPG department, but if it's still running good, trading a 2WD for a 4WD is hard to pass up.
