Question on 06 Limited Brake rotors

Hello everyone, 1st post, but have been lurking around here for awhile.

I have a 2006 Limited v6, and its time to do the brakes on it. When researching rotors i commonly find there are 2 sizes for the front. From reading on this site, it looks like the Sport has the bigger rotors?? Is that correct? Just want to make sure i order the right size.

Also...Any recommendations outside of OEM for Pads/Rotors? I'm looking at doing Raybestos all the way around.

In '03 the larger brakes also had larger 17" wheels while the smaller brakes came with 16". 16" wheels won't clear the larger brakes calipers.

Yeah i know there are 2 sizes of front rotors, just trying to make sure i order the correct ones. Mine came with the Limited 18inch wheels, but after reading some post here seems like SR5 and Limited use smaller rotor than the Sport?

Sport Editions have the bigger, 13.3" rotors for sure.

SR5s have the smaller, 12.6" rotors regardless if it came with 17" wheels.

Some Limiteds have the bigger 13.3" rotors and some have the smaller rotors. Only way to be sure is to measure them or check the casting letters on the calipers.

My 03 Limited has the smaller ones. Easiest way is to try to measure through the wheel. I was able to do this and it worked well.

The 05 SR5 comes with the option of 16 or 17 inch wheels. I chose the 17 and when I buy rotors or calipers I specify the 17 inch wheel at purchase. The calipers are based on the tire size and based on how I can order the part online it looks as though the limited and the SR5 have the same rotor.

The Sport rotors are different, and it IS NOT solely based on tire size. I've got 17" wheels (factory) and the smaller diameter rotors. Some retailers use wheel size to look them up, but this isn't the correct way to do it (thus leading to returns/frustration by customers). Easiest way is to try to measure, you can tell which you have and be for certain it's correct.

Just tried to measure, but im at work so had to do it through the wheel, really hard to get an exact number.

Only numbers on my Caliper were 16-5y9? does that tell anything?

I just replaced the rotors on my girlfriend's 06 limited and thought I had this figured out. I ordered the smaller rotors and they were the wrong ones. Hers has 18" wheels. I don't think wheel size is a reliable way to tell which size rotors you need as sometimes those were changed at the dealer on new vehicles. If I had to do it over, I'd pull the wheel if I had to and measure. Cost me over $50 to send back the rotors I had that were the wrong size.

I went by wheel size and called Advanced Auto to double check the mm size. Mine were the 338mm, larger for 17' wheels on limited. You can also give dealer your VIN # and they can pull info. BTW. I put EBC Ultimax rotors on the front and they work great. I bought new toyota pads and it seems to be a good fit thus far. Ordered everytihng over the net. Rotors were $183 and pads $65 both out the door over the net. Good luck!
