No.
If you have a navigation card on micro sd card you do not need to use scout.
Scout is used if you do not want to buy an original toyota navigation card

The Limited will have full standalone navigation. The card is included with the vehicle.

The Scout Navigation is a turn-by-turn (think old Garmin navs). This requires the Scout GPS Link app to work, but the 4Runner never had this (at least in California).

If you have a "MAP CARD" "cover" on the right side of the screen, you have the full nav.
