yeah I know this question was asked almost a year ago but i have the answer for you! :frog:
The only time that you need to use reverse cut is on a high pinion axle. generally it is a high pinion drivers side drop. those are generally from a ford or some dodges. low pinion - passenger drop was on chevy. dana 44 are nice axles and will handle a good size tire and lots of aftermarket support...
want more info about SAS go to pirate and look at ErikB's build... he used a 44 on the front with 3 link.
