I've got a couple questions regarding my 2002 Limited.

I'll try to continue to use this same thread in order to not jumble up the forum with numerous questions.

On the drivers control of the windows my driver side window auto button has a light so you can read auto. Driver control of the passenger side front window also says auto on it - but there appears to be no light or it's burned out? So do both your front window controls on the driver door light up?

Do your seat heater buttons light up? I have an orange LED indicating they are on, but the buttons themselves don't seem to light up.

Should the brightness adjuster knob light up as well?

What about the locker button?

What about the up/down button for the tailgate window? Also rear defrost?

My 98 didn't have any of these so I really can't compare. I'm suspecting I've got some bulbs out because well it's 13 years old. But I'm not really sure and before I go tearing things apart to check I just wanted to verify.

I did search for the LED conversion thread but can't seem to find it now. So many other threads list conversions that it returns too many false positives.

Thanks.

My 2000 limited lights up

I don't have heated seats but I'll bet it doesn't because it already has some sort of indicator on it.

For the dash? If yes then no.

What about the locker button?

No

My 2000 both light up and the bulbs were blown when I got the truck.

Remember I have a 2000 Limited so some I might be wrong, although I'm pretty sure your rear window and rear defrost buttons should light up and also sure your dash brightness knob doesn't light up. You should be able to look at the part and see if it looks kind of "dull" and semi clear which would be lighted from behind as opposed to bright white which would be painted/ etched thus not lighted.

thanks for the help. time to investigate some bulbs it looks like.

this weekends activities will include head unit replacement, hvac controls replacement. should be good times with my brother.

though I'm a little concerned about what the factory installed alarm is going to do. hopefully it will give me no issues.

Check this thread, should help you out.

Thanks for the links. Everything went good when doing the HVAC control and the head unit install.

Only one problem created during that. It seems I've messed up my tail gate window. When I push the button I hear a noise in the tailgate, but no window up down action. I'm thinking it's possibly frozen shut. I should have tested it before started taking apart the dash.

What a difference a new head unit makes. I can probably live with the speakers the way they are even.
