Hi....

I just dropped my 4runner off and found out that one of my tie rods are bad so I am having that replaced for 181.00 (parts and labor).
So I asked him to look at the shocks/struts and he said I had OE on there and they do need to be replaced. He uses KYB and told me it would be 860.00 parts and labor including the tie rod in that price. Does that sound about right? If it sounds right I'll have him do it but it seemed kinda high to me plus I was thinking about going with Bilsitens.
And whats your input on KYB products?

$860? You can get an OME springs and struts for less than that.

It has 118K on it....860 including the tie rod. It's about 670.00 otherwise and every place I called is around the same price range.

i bought some KYB shocks for around $220 install was under $100.

JustAnotherT4R....where did you get those shocks for that price and how do you like them? I found them for 378 from shockwarehouse, the Bilsteins HD's are 297.

my friend got them for his 4runner which he sold when the shocks came in. so i bought it off him at what he bought it for. i think he bought it in So. California somewhere.

the KYB Mono Shocks is pretty good with the 3" lift. compare to my dead shocks haha. i cant really compare it to another shocks since this is my first set of shocks.
