quick grill question

I just bought a new grill off of ebay.

It's the 01-02 style, rather than my 99

Question:

Does the emblem fit both? or do I need to buy another?

Looks the same to me. I think the '96-'98 emblem was smaller than the '99-'02.

It's still on the truck, nothing wrong with it, I just like the other one better...

I'm not sure yet what I want to do, like Clemonsfan, I have a thing about getting rid of OEM parts. If I do decide to sell it, I will let you know first.

I dont blame you. I still got my bumpers, head lights, tail lights, non clear corners, rims, everything that I replaced.

How does one go about removing the grill off of a 3rd gen 4runner?

I tried, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. :bash: :cursin:

I know on my 97 there's clips on the side and on top. Get a small flat head screwdriver and play with the clips and they will release the grille. Not a precise explanation, but it really isn't hard at all.

I also ordered the billet grilles for it, when they arrive I will show pics. I am not sure when I'll get them...
