Quick improvements

Hi,
I'm looking to spend a few hundred on parts I can install myself. A friend suggested the options below and mentioned a pulley kit, but I can't find it.

I want to provide some improvement for power and maybe mileage, in that order. Any suggestions that aren't too involved for a home handy man?

Throttle body spacers on advanced fuel injection as the T4R has don't do much of anything. They do lighten your wallet which makes the vehicle lighter hence better mpg.

The K&N intake has some specific issues. If managed properly they can be ok but don't expect big gains in power or mpg. Read this thread and do a search to learn more...

The only change I've done so far is to replace the paper air filter with a K&N. I don't think I'll make any further changes. It seems the cost of any changes would be far greater than the return in savings or gain in power and enjoyment.
