quick question, do i need body lift for arb and ome sus. lift?

for some reason i remember reading that you'll need a body lift as well if you got an arb and a 3 inch sus. lift, is this right and if so how much, personally i would rather not as it's just another part i have to buy and pay for and to be honest i really don't want my truck much taller then the ome lift is going to give it anyways.

no u dont have to have a BL... im currently running the OME lift and i just got my ARB bull bar and everything works well.

cool no no huge gap between the bumper and the body? or do i have to drill new holes for the bumper mount?

The BL causes the gap between the bumper and the body, not the suspension left.

well as of right now i have about 1/2-1" gap between the bumper and the body but i think thats as high as u can get it unless u drill out more space on the bumper holes for the bolts which i may end up doing bc i HATE non-flush mounted bumpers.

cool good to know well i went out to home depot and picked up some rubber weather stripping to close up my gap i'm just going to glue it on to my bumper with some silicone/weather resistant adhesive, i figure between being compress by the bumper and my truck with teh adhesive it should stay put, i do forsee the need to replace it every year or more, i may go with a full on rubber threshold in the future, that said i'm going to try this first, also on a side not you don't want teh bumper flush incase if you hit anything it gives teh bumper room to move a bit before it starts smashing into body panels, so i was thinking that leaving the gap and filling it with some sort of rubber would look good for appearances and also provide some usable space incase of an accident.

ya i understand wat u mean about leaving the gap but i have about 2-3x the amount of gap u do so i might try to reduce that a bit.

Yeah, if you get a body lift you'll have more gap since the bumper bolts to the frame and the body will go up. If you get a BL, there are 2 methods for raising the bumper to get rid of the excess gap. Here's a thread explaining both ways...
